Thinkium has designed a flat tree chain structure, named "Aplati Tree". In the theoretical model, the blockchain system corresponding to a non-leaf node is a structured blockchain, which is responsible for maintaining the node set and block set associated with all children nodes of this node. The blockchain system corresponding to a leaf node is the trading blockchain, on which all transaction data are consented. Thinkium’s flat tree chain structure — the so-called Aplati Tree that can infinitely extend layers — has accomplished the separation of private layer and public layer through hierarchical tree structure. In the theoretical model, the blockchain system corresponding to a non-leaf node X is a structured blockchain, which is responsible for maintaining all trading blockchains (leaf nodes) under its jurisdiction.

The Aplati Tree is a unique structure in which consensus groups are organized according to area-based hierarchy. Aplati Tree can infinitely layer the levels of organization, and each higher level reaches consensus in a manner similar to Nakamoto Consensus while not being burdened with transaction-related processing, enabling it to achieve high performance. Aplati tree construction can be directly applied to current blockchain platforms. For example, the bitcoin system can be extended to a six-layer Aplati tree structure, within which a target level of transaction confirmation can be provided according to specific security requirements. Aplati trees provide a new technical concept for solving block expansion and energy waste problems.

LAYERS OF THE TREE

The Aplati system is planned as a cosmos ecosystem. The entire tree has two layers, the main-chain layer and the sub-chain layer. All the nodes are registered in the main-chain network, and assigned to their own sub-chain networks. Any two subchains are independent of each other. It can allow the physically unrelated subchains to logically form parent-child relationship and share related business. Both the main-chain and subchains can act as parent chains to create child-chains, and perform sharding. As a result, the cross-chain efficiency can be significantly improved.
The main-chain network is the original Aplati network, in interaction with all the subchains. All nodes can only carry out cross-chain interactions through the main-chain layer.

Aplati chains are organized as a binary tree network. A subchain can perform cross-chain or sharding operations simultaneously. The cross-chain efficiency is significantly improved. Users are free to create, interact with subchains and deploy smart contracts on their own. Smart contract access rights and node allocation rights were delegated to the subchain layer. By applying the multilayered architecture, Aplati can handle millions of transactions at a time while ensuring security and stability of the entire network.

CONCLUSION

The tree structure provides users with: high performance and highly available transfer service; low cost and simple setup of environment; cross-chain capability, ease of management and maintenance
